This year, Bureau International des Containers (BIC) celebrates its
75th Anniversary.

To mark that milestone, BIC will convene an International Conference
to address the “New Challenges to Trade”.
The venue will be Malta, CMA-CGM’s Mediterranean hub and the dates are
October 6 and 7, 2008.

The concept is to bring together a selected number of decision makers
representing both Industry and Government in a setting fostering discussion
and networking.
Under the auspices of the Maltese Authorities, the Conference will
include four thematic panel discussions:
• Environment,
• Security and Cargo Authenticity,
• Infrastructures,
• Investment,
• BIC 75th Anniversary Conference will end with a tour
of CMA-CGM’s Mediterranean hub.
Created in 1933, the Bureau International des Containers et du Transport
Intermodal (BIC), with its 1,600 members, is the only non-governmental
global organization linking all stakeholders involved in containerization
and intermodal transport: carriers, manufacturers, operators, lessors,
shippers, forwarders, etc.
Its mission is to contribute to the expansion of containerization
and intermodal transport and to facilitate debates on all topics related
to containers and intermodal transport.BACK
